an image for me this coming year

Today was the official first day back at school for staff. We had staff development all day long. During the morning session my boss spoke briefly about overcoming some of the "stuff" from last year. Her words were that "nobody can take advantage of us if we don't let them," and that we should all really "be here." In my mind I saw an image of a phoenix rising from the ashes. I'm hoping to hold that image in my mind for a while, and to be that phoenix. (And just in case you were wondering, like we were, the plural of phoenix is still phoenix.)
